Concertvrienden & Entrée
Concertvrienden and Entrée are the membership programs of Het Concertgebouw and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. While Concertvrienden brings together supporters of both institutions, Entree makes classical music more accessible to a younger audience through discounts and exclusive events. Despite their shared mission of connecting audiences to music, they lacked a unifying visual identity. There was no clear link between them, making it difficult to communicate their relationship while maintaining their individual presence. The challenge was to create a system that visually united these organizations while allowing them to operate independently when needed. The solution: a dynamic identity that responds to music and embodies both connection and distinction.
The design is built around a pattern of C’s (for Concertvrienden) and E’s (for Entree), alongside the icons of Het Concertgebouw and the Concertgebouw Orchestra, that responds to music. These elements not only represent the institutions but also symbolize the audience within the Concertgebouw, with music resonating through both the people and the building itself.
The patterns can be used together for joint communication or separated—featuring only C’s or E’s—when representing each entity individually. This rebrand ensures a cohesive yet adaptable identity, reinforcing the connection between Concertvrienden and Entree while respecting their distinct roles within Het Concertgebouw’s ecosystem.
