Vossius Gymnasium
Vossius Gymnasium is a small, lively and close-knit school in Amsterdam. They help students rise above themselves and teach them to think autonomously.
As a design lead I worked together with our team at LAVA and the school's coördination team on the strategy and branding trajectory of the school to help them reflect this in their image. Our creative vision centers around the students building their own paths, thus coming up with a triangle that embodies both student and school as direction-giver, while also embodying a 'V'.
Design system
Since the school is a small institution there are not many media outlets. Their most important media is their website on which they have to attract both student as parent, and be informative to students and teachers that are already on the platform. Aside from that we're focusing on a logo, the school study guide, social media channels, outdoor advertising for the school and an image policy.
As we've introduced the triangle as the anchor for our design system we've build multiple compositions for these outlets and paired it with similair classical typography that resembles the original logo, but works just a little bit better in a digital environment. This way, the design is easily recognisable on the few platforms they do expose themselves on.
